
In 2003, Meg McElwain founded Charlotte based Magnolia Marketing. Meg graduated from The University of Mississippi with a degree in Radio and Television. In 2011, Meg was selected by The Mecklenburg Times as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Charlotte. Other notable distinctions include being named in 2010 as one of the 25 “Women in Business Achievement” award winners by The Charlotte Business Journal and in 2005 as one of 10 Outstanding Young Charlotteans by the Charlotte Jaycees.
Meg carries a strong belief that businesses and professionals must give back to their community. In 2008, she graduated from Leadership Charlotte (Class XXIX), where she served as a co-chair of her Leadership Charlotte Service Project Team and was voted Most Valuable Team member by her peers. Meg is on the Board of Directors for the Trail of History, a group whose mission is to recapture and preserve the significance of key people who contributed to the history, growth, and development of Mecklenburg County by erecting larger than life representative statues along the urban section of the Little Sugar Creek Greenway. Meg is the Trail of History marketing committee chairman. She is fourth generation Rotarian and a member of The Rotary Club of Charlotte where she is a Paul Harris Fellow and was elected to the Board of Directors.
